Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Assortment Planning: Work with the design and sales teams to plan the product assortment, ensuring it aligns with customer demand, seasonal trends, and brand direction.
  • Inventory Forecasting: Use sales data and market trends to forecast inventory needs, ensuring the right products are available at the right time without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of products, ensuring product quality and accurate quantities are met.
  • Pricing and Promotion Strategy: Develop pricing strategies that maximize profit margins while remaining competitive in the market. Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotions that align with sales goals.
  • Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to assess the performance of existing products and make recommendations for future product lines or assortments.
  • Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, ensuring the warehouse is stocked according to demand. Work with the operations team to resolve any inventory issues or discrepancies.
  • Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the brand receives the best prices, quality, and service.
  • Merchandising Execution: Ensure that products are correctly displayed in stores or online platforms in a way that aligns with the brand’s visual merchandising guidelines and boosts sales.
  • Trend Identification: Stay ahead of fashion trends and consumer preferences to ensure the product assortment remains relevant and desirable for the target market.

Job Requirements:

  • A diploma/degree in Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in merchandising, ideally in fashion or retail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Good negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers.
  • Understanding of inventory management, pricing, and product lifecycle.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments.
