Operations Officer (Portfolio Administration)

The key objective of this role is to provide investment administration services to clients of the Bell Potter Portfolio Administration Service (PAS), mainly focusing the below:
- To administer client portfolios in accordance with the valid instructions of the client and Adviser.
- To liaise with Advisers, clients, external investment administrators, registries and other departments of Bell Potter.
- Effective end-to-end administration for client accounts.
The area is growing with the success of the various PAS services. The role involves high levels of professionalism, attention to detail and a client service perspective.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration relating to the identification, notification, management and processing of ASX listed income, capital events, and managed funds including:
- Reconciliation, processing and checking of listed dividends, interest, distributions, voluntary and involuntary corporate events.
- Post event processing of international corporate actions.
- Accurate and compliant tax processing of corporate actions and income events.
- Assistance to Portfolio Administrators in researching or reprocessing corporate actions and dividends.
- Bank payment instructions relating to assets, and client instructed payments.
- Process managed fund transactions and distributions.
- Maintain asset valuations and set-up new assets in IRESS IPS.
Knowledge and Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in operations or corporate actions.
- An understanding of listed market practice in corporate actions and dividends.
- A strong focus on achieving a high level of accuracy and following processes and procedures.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, with excellent time management skills.
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, Professional Degree majoring in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking/ Business Studies/ Management/ Administration or equivalent.
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
- Experience in IRESS and IRESS IPS is desirable but not mandatory.
The ability to work during Malaysia public holidays, you will be compensated with additional off-day for working on Malaysia Public Holidays.
