In this role, you will work closely with the APM Procurement team to support the strategic direction of the business, lead initiatives that enhance procurement performance, drive cost savings, and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes. You will assist in building a cohesive understanding within the Procurement team as to how they support the strategic objectives of the business and manage risks.
The position can be based in any of the countries across APM.
The role reports solid line into the Area Procurement Director of APM and matrix to the Head of Procurement Development.

What will you be doing?
- Project Manager of the Local Material Optimization (LMO) project in APM. Responsible for leading and managing project activities and delivery of project targets across APM countries.
- In alignment with Global Procurement initiatives, responsible for the successful delivery of transformation, change management and technology initiatives across APM. In other words, helps to “implement the global standard”.
- Support the Procurement organization to have clear visibility and efficient use of Category Management, Planning and Supplier Relationship Management tools & techniques, eProcurement, Purchase to Pay and Business Systems.
- Understand the business requirements and ensure that the requirements are successfully incorporated into Procurement processes.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key business stakeholders and the APM Procurement team.
- Standardize processes across the APM region.
- Leverage digital tools and technologies to streamline procurement workflows and increase automation.
- Be a vital member of the global Procurement Development Team and hence, support global initiatives such as the Business Platform Renewal (BPR) program from which certain initiatives and principles could also be rolled out independent of the implementation of S/4HANA.
- Analyse and drive improvements through refining or modifying existing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy, in alignment with Global Procurement processes.
- Identify risks related to the use or incorrect use of KONE’s Procurement systems and continuously educate suppliers and the Procurement team to make optimal use of the systems, whilst adhering to Policies.
- Lead the regular review of Procurement policies, processes, procedures and templates ensuring optimal integration with other departments, compliance with procurement and industry legislation, and alignment to industry best practices. Ensure a "LEAN" approach is taken to all Procurement procedures and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement team and supplier base.
- Ensure compliance with wider regulatory changes e.g. Ethical Sourcing, Bribery & Corruption, International Regulations, Quality, CSR, Risk & Sustainable policies and develop supplier relationship management strategies to support them.
- At least 8 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, with a proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements within large organizations.
- Trained in Lean and/or Agile methodology would be an advantage.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, with good communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Good knowledge of Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management Excellence, SRM, S2P / P2P process and Risk management.
- Proficiency with procurement software (eg. SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and data analysis tools (eg. Excel, Power BI)
