We are looking for a Production Manager to lead our production centre in Malaysia. The candidate will be overseeing the entire production process, co-ordinating all production activities and operations.

This Job Entails

• Collaborate with relevant departments to develop financial and budgetary plans
• Set strategic automation direction for the manufacturing plant
• Plans, directs and monitors the production processes, analyses failures & breakdowns, scheduling of manpower to ensure smooth operations of the production lines in order to achieve the targeted productivity & quality product output level within the set timeframe.
• Plan, estimate, set and schedule production according to the requirements from the orders, sales and the Company’s expansion plans.
• Work closely with other departments to prepare and plan material usage based on demands whilst ensuring plans are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner and negotiate timelines when deemed necessary.
• Monitor, assess and schedule maintenance and calibration for production machinery and facilities to ensure minimal downtime.
• Assess, estimate, forecast and request for the purchase of spare parts for machinery.
• Ensure industry level health and safety regulations are met at all times.
• Assess, determine and enforce quality control standards together with workflow policies to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety and integrity at all times.
• Assess, plan and create schedules for team members to ensure optimum staffing levels including working with Human Resource to forecast staffing requirements whenever necessary with the aim to build a lean yet organised production team.
• Conduct introduction and training for all new team members and schedule regular refresher training courses for new and current team members.
• Provide motivation, support, guidance and discipline to all team members and communicate all issues, problems or obstacles.
• Assess, evaluate and set reporting systems and KPI for each team generally and each team member specifically.
• Assess and manage production efficiency by improving current Standard Operating Procedures and ensure the proper implementation of the same.
• All other tasks as deemed necessary to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime.

• Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in related field.
• Minimum of 8 years working experience in Manufacturing industry.
• Experience in a supervisory role is a must.
• Food & beverage industry experience is preferred.
• Capable to lead a team of experienced supervisors
