Project Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise during all phases of development, from concept to construction.
• Review and interpret engineering designs, plans, and specifications to guide construction activities.
• Check the drawing for compliance with design requirements and site conditions.
• Prepare engineering plans, reports, and specifications in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials to ensure all materials used are as per specifications.
• Plan and review the project schedule, material delivery and control the material waste to ensure the projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
• Lead a team of site personnel and workers in the planning and execution of day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Assist with calculating the quantity of each item in BQ according to drawings.
• Resolve any unexpected technical issues, difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
• Assist in project progress claims and submission of work progress reports and other related documentation for project claim purposes.
• Undertake any relevant responsibility that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
  

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• With at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Holding a valid engineering license.
• Proven experience in the construction industry.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Complete knowledge of various engineering principles and techniques.
• Willing to work/relocate in Ipoh, Perak.
