JOB SUMMARY:

Assures all external and internal requirements are met and consistently developing and enforcing effective Quality Management Systems to sustain the Company business growth. Determining specifications, production timetables, and time-integrated plans for product introduction. Excellent knowledge in validating processes; providing documentation and managing staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality
    vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve
    operational performance
  • Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management
    System (QMS) and ensure compliance
  • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and
    modified to meet the needs of customers requirement & UL
  • Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
  • Lead Engineer to handle customer return for failure analysis
  • Coordinate in customer audit, internal and external audit
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  • Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality
  • In conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, meeting with supplier to reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
  • Produce written reports and make presentations & attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems using proper QC and statistical tools
  • Drive CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) within the process area
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

BASIC SKILLS/ EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master in Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Quality Management System, including of ISO9001, IATF16949
  • Familiar with 5 core tools, root cause analysis (5 whys, CAPA, 8Ds, SPC, Cpk & etc)
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma program will be added advantage
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings and status reports
  • Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control
  • Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find defect and pose solutions to those defects
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to handle stress when handling customer complaint & supplier issue
  • Excellent analysis, prioritization, delegation and multitasking skills
  • Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll
    out through the team so that each member of the team understands the
    standards and behaviours expected of them
  • Provide technical expertise to the team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external
    stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Excellent leadership and man- management skills
