Job Responsibility
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of refrigeration systems, including reach-in coolers, walk-in freezers, display cases, and ice machines, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues in refrigeration equipment, utilizing technical expertise and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting electrical connections to minimize equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
- Respond promptly to service calls, assess equipment malfunctions, and execute necessary repairs or replacements, adhering to safety protocols and minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including details of repairs performed, parts replaced, refrigerant levels, and equipment performance data, using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Collaborate with the sales and installation teams to provide technical support and expertise on refrigeration system design, selection, and installation, ensuring projects meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in refrigeration technology, industry best practices, and safety regulations, participating in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Possess a Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Refrigeration, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering). Fresh graduates with relevant diplomas are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including their components, operation, and maintenance.
- Required skills: HVAC Systems Knowledge, Refrigeration Systems Knowledge, Electrical Troubleshooting, Equipment Maintenance, Technical Skills
- Exhibit proficiency in electrical troubleshooting techniques, with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues within refrigeration equipment.
- Possess practical skills in equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance procedures, component replacement, and system optimization.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills applicable to refrigeration service, including reading technical diagrams, using diagnostic tools, and performing repairs.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbally and in writing, to interact with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment based in Johor Bahru, with the flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.
