Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

• Responsible for equipment maintenance and improvements for die attach bonders, wire bonders, welders, ovens, testers, etc.
• Responsible in preparing & perform new equipment set-up and buy-off.
• Ensure proper facilities are available for new equipment set-up.
• Liaise with equipment vendor to improve tool capability.
• Provide feedback on equipment and material issues/make recommendations and offer solutions to ensure new products meet requirements.
• Work with process engineers in preparing and updating process documentations and work instructions for assembly line process and equipment.
• Work with production team in improving yield & UPH of the assigned processes, including cost reduction activities.
  
  

PROCESS ENGINEER

• Responsible for process yield, establish and implement corrective actions to improve yield.
• Plan and execute process improvement projects in line with business metrics.
• Responsible to define KPIV, conduct gauge R&R studies, correlation studies, implement and process documentation (eg. Manufacturing instructions, Visual aids, Bill of Material, etc.).
• Participate in new product transfer (NPI) programs to ensure smooth transitions from R&D to manufacturing phase. Derives improvements from understanding machine/test sequence and algorithm.
• Experience in Project Management & LEAN improvement will be an added advantage.
• Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
• Derive Continual Improvement.
• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
  
  

SOFTWARE AUTOMATION ENGINEER

• Responsible for design & development of machine automation and vision systems
• Responsibility in automated process & inspection equipment build
• Provide solution to Finisar Ipoh transceiver manufacturing process needs
• Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
• Derive Continual Improvement.
• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
  
  

QUALITY ENGINEER

• Lead on continual improvement activities through defining Test and/or Process problems that lead to quality issues, by determine the root cause, implement closed loop corrective/preventive actions and monitor results.
• Involve in cross functional teams for Product quality and reliability improvement projects/changes in both start-up and sustaining activities.
• Follow up specific problems as advised by Quality Manager. Generate reports and present data analysis of all QA findings.
• Defects verification, lot disposition, shipment blocking/approval and generate/closing ICAR.
• Work closely with NPI Team and co-ordinate with them on the implementation of product to mass production.
• To ensure the QA auditors/personnel are continuously educated, trained and developed for competency.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Master/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical, Communications, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Applied Science in Physics/Photonics or equivalent
• Relevant working experience in networking, test process or product transfer.
• Familiar with product development process & proven success of releasing products to production.
• Good knowledge in BOM maintenance, statistical, quality tools and problem analysis.
• Understand basic test methodologies and able to interpret/read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings. Strong technical knowledge and ability to trouble shoot product and test equipment issues and initiatives to drive performance goals.
• Experience working with fibre-optic/laser products.
