Senior Technician (Laboratory)

Job Description

• Perform laboratory tasks in providing analytical support/services to the production plant operation and other product quality related activities so as to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness in line with site Quality and HSE (health, safety and environment) requirements.
• Adheres and complies towards the continuous improvement of HSE & IMS (integrated management system) practices.
• Active participation in HSE and RC initiatives (e.g. plant general inspection, safety tips and etc.).Take proactive action to add value to BASF PETRONAS Chemicals and its stakeholders.
• Demonstrate high competency in own role in order to trouble shoot own work by proven analysis and implementation tools.
• Conduct task in a structured manner to produce positive impact on the work scope.
• Analyse result produced to identify improvement.

Job Requirement

• Certificate/Diploma in Chemistry/Analytical Science or any relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a laboratory and must prefer experience in Petrochemicals or analytical laboratory.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Can communicate in of English, both spoken and written.
