Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sr. Buyer is responsible for performing procurement of raw materials and following through product lifecycles. The position requires basic understanding of new product development and cost savings programs as well as for commercially launched products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business Management, Supply Chain and Procurement related field.
Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for those individuals with real or perceived disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Works closely and collaborates with Commodity Management Team, Product Development, Quality, Document Control, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, and Customer Service peers to ensure complete requirements are understood, critical path is defined, milestones are understood, inventory objectives are understood, forecast requirements are understood, and company goals are essentially understood and achieved.
- Perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support sourcing and purchasing activities
- Conducts post-mortem reviews to ensure valuable lessons learned are captured and shared throughout the organization such that the organization builds greater organizational capability and even better outcomes are achieved in the future.
- Oversees and manages other special projects as required.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Two to Five years of procurement experience
- Must have excellent analytical, planning, project management, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Must have excellent software application and Microsoft Excel user knowledge and skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management and professional individual contributors.
- Must have a strong understanding and experience working with cross-functional teams and be able to work independently
- Extensive experience in each Minimum Qualification.
