Staff Manufacturing Engineer / Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in CNC precision machining. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective production.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize CNC machining processes for new and existing products.
• Create detailed process documentation including work instructions, setup sheets, and tool lists.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cutting tools, fixturing, and machining parameters.
• Conduct process capability studies and root cause analysis of machining-related issues.
• Lead or support NPI projects, ensuring manufacturability of components.
• Collaborate with Engineering to provide DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) feedback.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and cost.
• Train and support machinists on new processes and best practices.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• More than 5 years of experience in a CNC precision machining environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of machinists and other staff
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
