Job Responsibility

  • To performs a full range of storekeeper assignments exercising judgment in making decisions based on established methods and procedures.
  • Unloads materials from trucks by hand or with hand operated or motorized equipment.
  • Unpacks incoming goods and wraps and packs outgoing goods.
  • May enter data and edit stock orders in a computerized inventory system, if available.
  • May operate a motor vehicle, forklift, or other material handling equipment to facilitate the movement of materials.
  • Cleans work area.
  • Performs related work appropriate to the classification as assigned.
  • Receives, stores, and issues supplies and equipment and compiles records of supply transactions aboard ship.
  • Verifies that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices.
  • Stores supplies and equipment in storerooms.
  • Inventories supplies and equipment at end of each voyage.
  • Compiles report of expenditures.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years working experience
  • Own transport
  • Initiative & able to work independent
  • Perform well and able to give cooperation to teammates
  • Have good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Fast adapter
  • Self-confident and daring
  • Hardworking
  • Two (2) years increasingly responsible experience working in warehouse and storage operations
  • Experience in the inventory and physically demanding functions of warehouse work
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
