Position Summary
The Store and Shipping Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing daily logistics and supply chain operations in a dynamic, highly regulated environment. Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and operational procedures while meeting business and site requirements, including internal and external audit standards. Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to deliver high-quality service, control resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain strong focus on safety, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while upholding company values and life-saving rules.
This position will be reporting to the Operations Manager and based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The work environment is mainly within a warehouse environment but will include site wide tasks. You will be required to carry out forklift activities and banksman / slinging duties throughout the site. There will be office-based tasks involved. This position will be reporting to the Operations Manager and based in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Supervises a support team and/or entry level specialists with operational focus*
- Focuses on coaching, coordination and delegation of operational work responsibilities*
- Applies knowledge specific to area of responsibility*
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity*
- Leading the Warehouse Operatives by regular 1-2-1 and/or group communications as appropriate.
- Delegation where required to achieve the best outcome with the highest level of productivity but in the safest environment.
- Control of all materials in accordance with Company Procedures.
- Ensuring raw material receipts, storage and distribution requirements within the company are carried out in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Company procedures.
- Ensuring finished goods transfers, good issues and shipping activities within the company are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Manufacturing, QA, QC and all other departments to ensure effective/accurate reporting, compliance, release of products and delivery of required service levels.
- Maintain effective communication between warehouse department and all other departments to ensure expectations are being met. Inclusive of Project Free Issue items, providing a controlled secure area, readily available for client inspection.
- Research and resolve (both proactively and reactively) shipping, packaging, and warehouse operations problems as needed.
- Taking ownership and responsibility of moving materials to safest and best fit locations, ensuring that correct bin location is recorded on the ERP system.
- Control of physical counting of inventory in accordance with the cycle count schedule and reporting on Inventory Accuracy.
- Identify, record and reconcile Inventory Discrepancies, issue and control stock adjustments request and records.
- Responsible for all forklift maintenance on site, to ensure repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the entire working environment is kept clean and tidy at all times and that material / goods are stacked safely using the Warehouse Housekeeping Checklist.
- Train warehouse operatives in Material Handling practices and procedures and ensure all such standards are adhered to, ensuring continuous development of warehouse operatives.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems in line with company expectations.
- Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.
- Undertake and/or assist with any other duties as and when required in accordance with business needs.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and consistently contribute to the continuous improvement of the working environment and site as a whole.
- Supervise warehouse shipping team. Daily morning meetings ensuring shared workload.
- Active daily monitoring of all metrics related to function. On time Shipments.
- Prepare weekly shipping schedule week in advance.
- Prepare item for shipments.
- Checks EMO’s prior to shipping and liaise with Supply Chain to sort discrepancies.
- Maintain equipment records, ensuring all movement of equipment is accurately recorded.
- Generate reports for month end inventory receipts and issues.
- Documented 5S Audits.
- Experienced with FMM and Certificate of Origin application
- Knowledge of import/export legislation for Malaysia.
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
- This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Diploma holders with extensive experience in logistics/warehousing may also be considered.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Logistics Manager or membership with Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) are advantageous
- Qualified Forklift Driving and Banksman/Slinging for the offloading of material
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in highly regulated environments and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficient in Oracle ERP/MRP systems or similar platforms.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
- Demonstrates strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensures important information from management is shared appropriately with employees and stakeholders.
- Provides and accepts constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Maintains consistent communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment on projects and objectives.

- Both indoors and where required outdoors both during the day and during night-time conditions
- Exposure to warehouse environment including airborne dust in the workplace
- Work surfaces vary from even to uneven and from stable (flat) to uneven for which appropriate risk assessments must be carried out.
