Mine/Quarry Management

• Supervising all mining/quarrying activities including all auxiliary activities at respective sites
• Prepare and execute monthly/weekly mine/quarry planning based on Five Year Mine Plan (5YMP) and execute the agreed monthly/weekly plan accordingly
• Ensure right supply of crude as per plant requirement (Quantity & Quality) from the mine/quarry and provide alternative solution if problems/issues arise
• Assess the mine/quarry performance and propose solutions to ensure optimum performance and meeting production targets
• Identify & propose solutions for any problems/issues arise in mine/quarry
• Conducting geological surveys to identify potential mining sites.
• Verify a record of daily and monthly mine/quarry production
• Ensure mining contractor work performance as planned and according to the standard whilst maintaining optimum efficiency
• Perform technical works (surveying, geological assessment, mine efficiency assessment, etc) as required
• Analyze geological data and production statistics to assess the effectiveness of mining operations
  
  
  

Mineral Resources Development

• Assist Geology & Mining in performing geological project assessment/field work (desktop study, ground surveys, sampling, drilling, geological mapping or other related works) on any new minerals/sites or outsource suppliers
• Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing mining activities.
  
  
  

Mine/Quarry Development

• Lead site operation team in any mine/quarry development project or related works as required
• Liaising with regional mining and geology services team on any proposed mine/quarry development program
• Developing strategies for efficient resource extraction while minimizing environmental impact
  
  
  

Cost Management

• Assist Operation Manager (OM) by ensuring all mining/quarrying activities executed within the budgeted cost
• Assist Operation Manager (OM) in implementing and monitoring the cost saving initiative
• Select appropriate mining equipment and machinery
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure cost-effective operations.
  
  
  

People Management

• Manage subordinates task and responsibility
• Supervise performance of subordinates
• Develop subordinate’s skills/competencies as required
• Communicate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate and supervise mining operations, including the work of mining staff and contractors
  
  
  

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure all mining/quarrying activities execute and comply Sibelco HSE standards at site
• Comply with 10 life saving rules -.
• Implement and enforce all Sibelco’s HSE related rules, regulations, procedures and actions at site
