Description
Job summary:
Supervise warehouse ops, ensure compliance, manage documents, resolve transport issues, train drivers, and optimize logistics for cost efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- To supervise operational and assist the Assistant Warehouse and Storekeeper in carrying duties in loading and unloading, transferring, sorting, stacking, packing and labeling the outgoing goods.
- To practice and adhere to GDP and Good Storage Practice Standard (GSP) and other areas related to Occupational, Safety & Health Acts.
- To account for all transferred goods and documents under his care in the despatch area which in accordance to The stipulated SOPs.
- To ensure all despatch invoice, SIAs, POSs, BTAs and other related documents are promptly filled by Storekeeper or Assistant Storekeeper.
- To execute promptly any duties or tasks that instructed by the Executive and above until completion.
- To involve with customer complaint regarding transporter issue.
- To assist operations in absence of Executive in-charge and/or the management.
- Being leader to assist on TMS implementation for Local Route planning.
- Lead the Local Drivers performance by engaging and provide appropriate training on their job to ensure drivers are flows DKSH requirements.
- Managing DKSH drivers and ensure they have performed as per DKSH requirements. Also needs to ensure that those drivers are fully utilized to minimize cost impact.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in supervising warehouse/store operations and managing transporters is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) standards.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) regulations.
- Experience in Transport Management System (TMS) for route planning.
- Strong team leadership and people management skills to guide drivers and warehouse staff.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
