Supply Chain & Logistic Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Chain Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient supply chain strategies.
    • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure seamless operations.
    • Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
  2. Logistics & Distribution:
    • Manage the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
    • Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Negotiate contracts with logistics providers to reduce shipping costs and improve delivery times.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and stock discrepancies.
    • Analyze demand forecasts and sales trends to inform purchasing decisions.
  4. Procurement:
    • Oversee the procurement of raw materials and finished goods.
    • Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure consistent supply.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain a supplier management system.
  5. Cost Control & Efficiency:
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction within the supply chain process.
    • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of supply chain initiatives.
  6. Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain and logistics staff.
    • Ensure staff are trained and equipped to handle daily operational challenges.
    • Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
  7. Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
    • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including cost analysis, delivery times, and service levels.
    • Communicate with stakeholders regarding supply chain updates and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems), MS Excel, and data analysis.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
