Backend Developer (Fully Remote)

We are looking for a Software Developer with 2-5 years of experience in .NET Core, C#.NET, Node.js, and backend technologies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building APIs, working with databases, and back-end development. This role will be a fully remote role based in Malaysia.

A day in the life:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using .NET Core and C#.
• Build robust and secure APIs using both .NET Core and Node.js.
• Work with modern database technologies like MSSQL and MongoDB to store, retrieve, and manage data.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code following best software engineering practices.
• Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of the codebase is maintained.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in the application.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and performant.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team collaboration.
• Work in an Agile development environment and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with .NET Core and C# for backend development.
• Strong proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using .NET Core and Node.js.
• Experience with database technologies like MSSQL and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure(Preferred) or AWS.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, etc.).
• Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
