Job Responsibility
- Accurately process customer transactions using cash registers and POS systems, handling cash, credit, and debit card payments efficiently and securely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring adequate supplies are stocked, and equipment is in good working order.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation, balancing the cash drawer and preparing bank deposits accurately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as receiving and stocking merchandise, and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Promote sales by informing customers of current promotions, upselling products, and encouraging repeat business through loyalty programs.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments, providing change, and issuing receipts.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to scan items, calculate totals, and process various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments).
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies at the end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
- Promote sales by informing customers about current promotions, upselling products, and encouraging repeat business.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
