Maintenance & Operation Engineer (Open to Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Roles)

About Us: Gama Malaysia is the Southeast Asian extension of Gama Group, a leading data center service provider from China. We offer comprehensive solutions for data center infrastructure, construction, operation, and maintenance. As we expand, we are looking for Maintenance & Operation Engineers across three tiers (Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior) to strengthen our team.

Depending on your experience and the role tier, the salary for this position ranges from RM 4,000 to RM 10,000, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of data center infrastructure following company SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs, ensuring early detection of potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including servicing, cleaning, testing, and calibrating equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues or faults, providing effective solutions and coordinating timely repairs.
• Record and analyze operational and maintenance data, preparing detailed reports on equipment status and performance.
• Support system analysis, preventive maintenance, and inspections to ensure safe and efficient 24/7 data center operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans under the guidance of the Maintenance & Operation Manager.
• Participate in company-organized skills training and emergency drills to enhance team readiness.
• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to support operations, maintenance, and inventory management.

Job Requirements:

• Junior Tier: Fresh graduates in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Engineering are welcome to apply.
• Mid-Level Tier: At least 2 years of experience in electrical or HVAC systems, preferably in a data center environment.
• Senior Tier: Over 5 years of relevant experience with proven expertise in managing data center operations and leading technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
• Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Valid driving license is preferred.
• Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Electrician’s License, HVAC, or other certifications) is a plus.
