Software Support Engineer (Application Support)

Responsibilities:

• Provide first level technical support for users and perform initial troubleshooting of application systems.
• Understand application process flow, to provide service to users by promptly responding to their queries, with necessary evaluation and prioritization.
• Document and maintain technical troubleshooting procedures.
• Communicate with different team effectively to resolve issues relating to hardware / configuration.
• Involved in application R&D, as part of the non-support routine.

Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma/Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2 years (or more for senior roles) in application support experience
• Knowledge of SQL and database platforms (MS SQL Server preferred) for data analysis and support
• Basic coding knowledge (C#, JavaScript, Python, etc.) preferred
• Knowledge of financial trading system and cloud technology is desirable
• Good problem-solving skills, able to perform independent analysis of issues.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined, with ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight in a professional and timely manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Open to shift rotation and night shifts for this position
